Each year, millions of Americans enter their crafts, vegetables and baked goods in fairs throughout the United States of America. For many, it represents a passion that generations of their family have enjoyed for a century. Others are exhibiting for the first time. The process of competing is an activity that the whole family can participate in together. The joy on the face of a preschooler who is awarded a blue ribbon for the flowers that came from her garden demonstrates the sense of achievement that crosses generations. The exhibits will be scored and the evaluation will be recorded by the judge so that both the exhibitor and the public can gain valuable information on improving.
